Snowmass Pillow Lines

After having explored Rock Island and Gowdy's pretty thoroughly, we decided to check out the lines we see from the lift everyday. These lines lie in the depths of Garret's Gulch. We at first were unsure if the area was open or not, but lucky for us and the pillow lines which we so lovingly caressed it was. We took turns shooting video, and hiked the lines all day. It was well worth it, some great pillows in there.

Fred on the first sweet pillow line of his life. A few 3 foot pillows to a nice drop at the end.

Jake's first pillow line of his life. A few 3 footers above, then to the lower few pillows.

Fred figured he could go off the tip to the right of jake's previous line. It worked out well.

Jake with a sick two-tiered cliff line.

Fred on another sweet one, a nice small pillow just below this one too.

Jake stepping it up gracefully negotiating the pillows followed by a not-so-graceful face plant.

It was another great day of skiing, stay tuned for more insight into the life of gnar-questing.

All shots are stills from video so they arent super clear.
